Do I need to activate DJI Mic Mini 2?
No. DJI Mic Mini 2 is ready to use without activation. You can scan the QR code on the package to register for a one-year warranty extension.
How do I update DJI Mic Mini 2 firmware?
Connect the receiver or mobile receiver to your phone and update firmware through the DJI Mimo app.

The transmitter can also be updated directly via Bluetooth connection to a smartphone.
How do I pair the transmitter with the receiver?
There are 3 methods:

• Put transmitter and receiver in the charging case for auto-linking
• Press and hold the Linking Button on both devices
• Use pairing mode on the mobile receiver for manual connection
What recording modes does DJI Mic Mini 2 support?
DJI Mic Mini 2 supports 3 recording modes:

• M = Mono
• S = Stereo
• Ms = Mono Safety Track (-6 dB backup track)
What does the Charging Case do?
The charging case stores transmitters, receiver, magnetic clip, magnet, and accessories while also charging them.

When fully charged, it can charge two transmitters and one receiver approximately 3.6 times.
What is the maximum transmission distance?
Maximum wireless range:

• Up to 400 m with DJI Mic Mini Receiver
• Up to 300 m with Mobile Receiver (green mode)

How long does charging take?

Does DJI Mic Mini 2 support noise cancellation?
Yes. It supports two levels of noise cancellation:

• Basic
• Strong

You can control it using the transmitter button, mobile receiver switch, or DJI Mimo app depending on your setup.
Does DJI Mic Mini 2 support auto power-saving and auto shutdown?
Yes. The transmitter supports automatic power-saving when no signal is detected.

Auto Power-Off can be enabled in DJI Mimo app and shuts down devices automatically after 15 minutes of inactivity.
Can the transmitter be used as a voice recorder?
No. DJI Mic Mini 2 transmitter does not have internal storage, so it cannot be used as a standalone voice recorder.
What is the microphone pickup pattern?
DJI Mic Mini 2 uses an omnidirectional microphone, which captures sound equally from all directions.
Can I connect DJI Mic Mini 2 directly to a smartphone via Bluetooth?
Yes. Press and hold the Linking Button for 2 seconds and pair it through your phone’s Bluetooth settings.

When connected successfully, the status light turns solid blue.
Can the mobile receiver charge the phone while recording?
Yes. The mobile receiver supports simultaneous charging for both the phone and the receiver through its USB-C charging port.
Does the mobile receiver support stereo sound?
Yes. It supports:

• Mono
• Stereo (Dual Channel)
• Mono Safety Track
Can the mobile receiver connect to a camera?
It does not support connection via 3.5mm TRS cable.

For Sony cameras with MI hot shoe, it can work using the DJI Mic Series Camera Adapter (sold separately).
Does DJI Mic Mini 2 support monitoring?
Yes. The mobile receiver supports monitoring through USB-C headphones or 3.5mm headphones using an analog adapter.
