Lightweight and compact, DJI Mic 3 supports both magnetic and clip-on use for flexible wearing. The charging case keeps transmitters, receiver, and accessories together for easy carrying and instant setup.
Transmitter lasts 8 hours, receiver 10 hours, and the charging case provides up to 28 hours total. A 5-minute charge gives 2 hours of use, so you’re always ready to create. Multiple power-saving features and support for recording while charging keep you powered all day.
Automatic mode prevents audio clipping in dynamic outdoor scenes like sports events. Dynamic mode adjusts gain for consistent loudness, ideal for quiet indoor environments such as studios.
Choose from three voice tone presets: Regular delivers natural and balanced sound for daily recording, Rich for fuller lows, and Bright for extra clarity in streaming or teaching. Two noise cancelling levels reduce background noise. Low for quiet indoor spaces, while High ensures your voice stays clear in noisy environments.
Automatically hops between 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands [6] for strong anti-interference and 400m stable audio transmission [7]. Enjoy 48kHz/24-bit lossless audio [8] for high-fidelity sound, even in complex environments
Saves both the original track and an algorithm-enhanced version [9] to prevent data loss. A high dynamic range captures every detail, from whispers to loud sounds, providing more flexibility in post-production.
Use up to four transmitters and eight receivers at once for effortless multi-person and multi-camera setups. With select cameras or software, you can record four separate audio tracks, making post-production easier.

Do I need to activate DJI Mic 3?
No activation is required. It’s ready to use out of the box. You can scan the QR code on the package to register and extend the warranty by one year.
How do I update the firmware for the transmitters and receiver?
Update through DJI Mimo. Connect the receiver to your phone with the included USB-C (or Lightning) adapter and update in the app; when you return the receiver to the charging case, the transmitters and case update as well. A transmitter can also connect directly to DJI Mimo for updates.
What recording modes does Mic 3 support?
M (Mono): All transmitters mixed to one channel.
S (Stereo): Two transmitters recorded to separate L/R channels (with more than two TXs, TX1+TX3 = L; TX2+TX4 = R).
Q (Quadraphonic): Four-channel capture when supported by the connected device—see compatibility lists on the Downloads page.
What does the Charging Case do and what fits inside?
The case automatically links the system, stores the TXs, RX, phone adapters (USB-C/Lightning), locking audio cable, windscreen, magnet, and clip. From a full charge it can recharge 2 TX + 1 RX about 2.4×.
Is DJI Mic 3 compatible with Mic / Mic 2 / Mic Mini accessories or units?
Adapters: Not cross-compatible.
Transmitters/Receivers: Mic 3 TX/RX are not compatible with DJI Mic, Mic 2, or Mic Mini systems.
What’s the maximum wireless transmission distance?
Up to 400 m in open, unobstructed environments with low interference. Reference scenarios: 2 TX + multiple RX ≈ 400 m; 4 TX + multiple RX ≈ 200 m (Lossless Audio off).
How long does charging take and what charger should I use?
Use a 5 V / 2 A charger. With the Charging Case, the TXs and RX reach ~80% in about 18 minutes. A TX charged via the Magnetic Charging Cable also reaches ~80% in about 18 minutes (lab data).
How do I enable and adjust noise cancellation?
Double-press the TX power button to toggle. On the receiver, swipe up to choose Strong or Basic per-TX or for all. In DJI Mimo or on compatible OsmoAudio™ devices, adjust levels in their UI.
Does Mic 3 support auto power-saving and auto power-off?
TX: Auto Power-Saving sleeps the unit when no receiver signal is detected and wakes when the signal returns. RX/TX Auto Power-Off can be enabled in DJI Mimo (default 15 min) according to the described logic.
What timecode frame rates are supported and how accurate is it?
Frame rates: 23.98F, 24F, 25F, 29.97F, 29.97DF, 30F, 50F, 60F.
Accuracy: drift ~0.5 ppm (≤ ~1 frame over 24 hours under stated conditions).
